Lake Constance, green hills, and the international setting of the Leiblachtal shape everyday life in Hörbranz. Cycling, hiking, swimming, local gastronomy, and quick trips to Bregenz or nearby Lindau make the municipality attractive for both residents and visitors. Its location close to Germany and Switzerland is equally relevant for employment. Local businesses in services, retail, skilled trades, hospitality, and other sectors are complemented by the larger economic centers around Lake Constance and the Vorarlberg Rhine Valley. This cross-border setting gives workers a particularly wide choice of employers while keeping outdoor recreation close to home.
Vorarlberg is Austria's westernmost state, with Bregenz as its capital and a dense network of towns stretching between Lake Constance and the Alpine valleys. Its location next to Germany, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein gives the region a strong international character, while its compact size keeps its main economic centers closely connected. At the same time, Vorarlberg has one of Austria's most export-oriented economies, with manufacturing, machinery, metalworking, technology, textiles, and related industries playing a major role in the regional business landscape.
