Lenzing, Upper Austria
Close to Lake Attersee and the Salzkammergut, Lenzing combines regional recreation with one of the strongest industrial employment bases in the area. Around 4,700 people work in the municipality, with major manufacturing companies providing many technical and production jobs. Smaller skilled businesses, retail, services, and agriculture add further diversity. Cultural activities, local sports, green spaces, and nearby lakes provide a strong contrast to the industrial environment. The surrounding Vöcklabruck district offers additional career opportunities, giving Lenzing both a substantial local labor market and access to a broader Upper Austrian economic region.
At the same time, Upper Austria is one of the country's leading industrial and export hubs, with manufacturing, automotive, metalworking, engineering, timber, IT, and services playing an important role. Its central location also provides strong connections to the rest of Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
