Vineyards, walking paths, and green recreational areas give Brunn am Gebirge a quieter side despite its location in the busy area south of Vienna. Wine has been part of the town’s identity for centuries, and the Brunner Berg still offers views, walking routes, and a direct connection to this tradition. Economically, Brunn is a major local business location, with almost 900 businesses covering a wide range of sectors. The campus21 office complex, larger retail areas, smaller shops, and service companies provide a substantial employment base, while the nearby Vienna metropolitan area further expands the range of jobs available to commuters.
Lower Austria surrounds Vienna and is the country's largest federal state by area, with St. Pölten as its capital. Its character ranges from growing towns around the Vienna metropolitan area to industrial zones and smaller communities across the state. Thanks to its central position and major road, rail, and airport connections, Lower Austria is closely linked to Vienna as well as neighboring Central and Eastern European markets, while manufacturing, logistics, food production, technology, and services all play an important role in its diverse economy.
