Located directly on the northern shore of Lake Neusiedl and well connected to Vienna, Neusiedl am See offers an attractive balance between employment opportunities and quality of life. As an important regional center in northern Burgenland, the town benefits from retail, services, tourism, and continued commercial development, while its lakeside setting adds a strong leisure and outdoor character. At the same time, proximity to Vienna and Vienna International Airport, together with convenient road and rail connections, broadens access to a much larger employment market.
Burgenland lies along Austria's eastern border, with Eisenstadt as its capital and a regional structure shaped by smaller towns, rural communities, and close links to neighboring Hungary, Slovakia, and Slovenia. This cross-border position gives the state a distinctive role between Austria and Central and Eastern Europe, while its economy is supported by a strong base of small and medium-sized businesses alongside manufacturing, logistics, technology, tourism, and services.
