Skilled trades, retail, services, construction, agriculture, and local businesses provide employment, while Völkermarkt and Klagenfurt expand the job market with industry, healthcare, administration, education, and commerce.
This location also shapes Carinthia's economy and connections. Alongside tourism and services, manufacturing, electronics, technology, construction, and trade play an important role, particularly around Klagenfurt and Villach. At the same time, links to neighboring countries make the region well connected within the wider Alpine-Adriatic area.
