Decrease of thermal losses, easy installation and a high level of shading are the main advantages of external blinds. These advantages of exterior shading technology can be strengthened by the installation of the blind into the Heluz lintel, which is load-bearing and forms the pocket for external blinds and shutters. The area with the blind is protected against dirt by dense brushes; maintenance is via the removable revision valve. Blinds into the Heluz lintel are designed for new buildings and, due to the box located in the lintel, assembly can be during or after full completion of the construction. When closed, aluminium lamellas filled with PUR foam form a self-contained area that completely shades the interior and creates a difficult to pass obstacle in the case of intruders. The guiding bars can be built into the reveal fixed on the window frame. Blinds into the Heluz lintel are supplied in a range of colours. Lamellas can be harmonized with the colour of the frame, including the wood imitation version or a shade matching the colour of the façade. The exterior shading technology creates an optimal environment in terms of lighting and thermal conditions and is a key part of the construction in terms of energy savings. Exterior shading also fulfils an aesthetic function, particularly in modern constructions, where they can often be a dominant architectonic feature.
